A Room with a View Too

Once again Dad is back in a "normal" room. Most of the day was spent preparing for the room, last minute ICU checks and waiting for the new room to be ready. He's comfortable and enjoying music and occasional blog updates. Sorry it took us so long to give an update. The surgery pavillion is closed on the weekends, and it is in this beautiful new facility that we have found our internet connections. Martin is currently working on bribing the nurse for permission to connect the computer so we can blog from the room and Dad can add his comments and read yours himself as soon as he feels strong enough. Thanks for the wonderful comments - keep them coming they are wonderful food for the healing soul! Posted by Jeni at August 21, 2004 07:13 PM

Glad to hear the good news!!!

"I don't know anyone who is without love. I don't know if you can live without it. We don't see it. We just count on it being there." Maya Angelou

We are so glad to hear that the surgery was a success and that you are resting comfortably. You are surrounded by such a loving family. Thanks to everyone for all the communications.

We are so happy to be a part of your extended family. With love, Marty, Jen, and Mallory

Hooray - we're so glad to hear that Llewellyn McClellan is doing her job and moving the healing process along at a rapid pace. It must feel good to be back in a "normal" room. Mike wants to know if you still have a view of Husky Stadium - his own ideal image of a "room with a view". It is great to have the updates, so we wish Martin well with his attempt at bribing the nurse. I can imagine that Donel needs that high tech connection to start feeling like himself again. We can hardly wait to hear the sermon(s) that will be inspired by this experience, but it seems like a tough way to gather new sermon material, Donel. Our prayers continue to be with all of you daily. Hugs to you from the Kirks.

It sounds as if you are makeing wonderful progress Donel. Rejoice, give thanks and sing!!!
We know the closer you get to an on line connection the faster the recovery will be. Marilyn, we hope you and the family are getting a little more rest. Prayers continue to flow your way.
Love and Peace

Happy to hear about the normal room and especially the post-surgery progress of the patient. We continue to hope and pray for "normal" recovery and are ready to have your cheerful face and upbeat comments back in our lives in Bellingham. What a great family - you are such a super support (although Martin, I thought you'd be able to find a wireless connection by now!!) Thanks for the updates.

We are so glad the move went well even if it took all day! With all the rain (Thank you GOD)Being inside and moving from room to room was a lot of the action here too. Heal quickly and well! You are all still in our prayers in a very proiminent way!

So glad to hear you're progressing so well. I expect as soon as you're up and about, like by tomorrow or Monday, latest, you'll charm a computer link out of someone. Thanks for the updates. They make us feel closer to you. I hope you all can feel the love coming your way. Sleep well. Love, Barb S.

Such good news!!!! I know for a fact that a good internet connection can send very healing vibes into a room, so Martin, keep trying!!! Love to all. Have a restful evening. You are always in our hearts and thoughts.
