3:30 (ish) Update

Things are still progressing as planned. Dad's in good shape. The surgery did slow down a bit at this point...a bit of the tumor is attached to the wall of the Inferior Vena Cava, so they have to pull out that section and patch the vein. This is nothing that wasn't expected, but does slow things down a bit. More when we know it. Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts -- keep them up, and keep checking back! (sorry for the delay in the posting--we're sharing internet here, so I can't always get on right away)! Posted by Martin at August 19, 2004 03:44 PM

I like what you are saying too, Martin. Many blessings on your evening. I will be looking forward to more good news. Love to you all.

For those of you who are quick like Janet--I had a post that said less, but changed it with more information when I realized that in the last post I said it would be a half-hour!

Sorry for any confusion, and thanks for checking often!

Thank you so much Martin for keeping us informed. You are doing a terrific job. Hugs to all of you.

As people stop by the church through out the day it is wonderful to have updates to share with them - thank you!

As the afternoon wears on, may the laughter balance the tears and concerns of your family as so many pray for you in the waiting, the surgeons in their working, as well as for Donel in his healing. May the movement of God's healing spirit be paplable amongst you.

A great big thank you to Martin from the Collins family. I wish we could be there with you. But this is the next best thing. I'm sure Marilyn knows how Chuck would be pacing the floor if we were there.

Our love to all of you.
Anita & Chuck

PS Terri is actually in Seattle right now. So don't be surprised if she calls. She has meetings all day and into the evening. You should be able to feel her vibes.

Martin - Thank you for your faithful updates. They close the distance between us so that we are right next to you and to your dad and to all your family. We know there will be good news soon and we can all embrace in joy and celebration!

Martin,

I'm so grateful that you are doing this to keep everyone informed as the day progresses. My dad would have been terribly impressed. Please give your mom and sisters a hug from the Perwin McClellans. We send our love and prayers.

Hey McClellan Gang, I hope you are all planning to put your feet up tonight and play with the kids and unwind after the stress of today. Your Daddy will be okay and so groggy, I think, that he won't be able to count noses. Find a field to run around in and shout a little bit. Be spirit-filled. Go to Jeni's and grab the garden hose and squirt the person who has on the nicest clothes. Rent an old Disney movie and chill mit der grands. Eat some popcorn by tossing it into the air. Is there a dog available for clean-up duty? Relax, play, and give thanks to God that the long day is over.

OHMAGOSH! I've just received this news from Kay Bliss via Mary Becker. Here I am so close, ....yet in hybernation as "unfit for social consumption" for years, and I miss you all, as you are family.
Now I hear this amazing news....God coming through my dearest Donel, to wake us into significant awareness.
Count me in for front line prayers, and reading every moment you write Marting. Thank you for the amazing circle of love you are broadcasting this way. Love to each of you, The Isolated Banished Jennifer
called to be with you if you'll have me.
